Oxygen Tanks for Portability
Jay Home Medical provides various sizes of oxygen tanks. Our most popular tank is an E Tank.
An E Tank weighs approximately 11 pounds. They are placed in a rolling cart with a handle for portability. Tanks are provided as emergency back up systems, in case of power outage. Patients who are not candidates for conserving regulators will use the E Tank with a continuous flow regulator.
With a freeflow regulator set at 2 liters per minute, an E Tank will last approximately 6 hours.
An E Tank with a conserving regulator set at 2 liters per minute will last approximately 8 hours.
We provide various sizes of oxygen tanks per a patient's specific need. M6 Tanks and C9 Tanks are carried in a shoulder bag, weighing approximately 5 pounds. However, these smaller tanks do not provide an effective duration of oxygen for emergencies and are only advised to be used for short periods of ambulation.
